Do I need to fill out any forms before my appointment?
Yes. Upon booking, you’ll receive a confidential health history and Skin Care Consultation Form form via email. These forms must be completed before your appointment to ensure we can provide safe and effective care tailored to your needs.
Why is it mandatory to fill out the spa health form?
In compliance with Ontario Regulation 136/18, businesses are required to collect client's name and contact information prior to providing any services. If the form is not filled out, service cannot be provided.
This information remains confidential and will only be used in the unlikely event of exposure to blood or bodily fluids through contaminated equipment. Such measures enable a prompt and effective response by Niagara Region Public Health and Emergency Services, ensuring your safety by facilitating timely medical advice if necessary, from a health care provider.
How often should I get a facial?
For optimal results, we recommend a professional facial every 4-6 weeks, which aligns with your skin's natural renewal cycle. Those with specific concerns like acne or hyperpigmentation may benefit from more frequent treatments initially.
Will I experience breakouts after a facial?
Some clients may experience minor "purging" as impurities are brought to the surface, especially after deep cleansing facials. This is normal and typically resolves within 24-48 hours. Our organic approach minimizes this reaction while still providing deep cleansing benefits.
What should I do before my facial appointment?
Arrive with clean skin if possible (no makeup). Avoid sun exposure, exfoliation, or any irritating skincare products for 48 hours before your appointment. Men should shave at least 2 hours before their facial.
